Out of Country
Musicians on tour are often only in countries fleetingly for a quick gig before moving onto a new destination for the next night's concert. Consequently, they often don't see much more than the airport lounge. In Out of Country however, Canadian country stars are invited to hang around a little longer to see what they are missing out on. Country musicians are generally better behaved than most other musicians but that doesn't stop Doc Walker creating havoc in Australia when they meet up with two sisters with whips looking for a volunteer to practice with. They also turn their hand to pumpabiking, a near impossible machine to keep afloat on which is quickly abandoned when they discover the bay they are practicing on is a well-known breeding ground for sharks. Elsewhere, Tara Oram takes to the local food in Brussels with relish and Kim Stockwood might well sing about bucking broncos but finds it just as hard staying onboard a mountain bike in California. With other country stars seeing the best of New Zealand, France and Switzerland maybe their next tour itinerary will allow a little more time to enjoy the local delights.
